A Lesson in Post-tensioned Concrete Construction
Jezerinac Geers Principal, Rob Johnson, PE, recently presented a lunch and learn, Introduction to Post-tensioned Concrete, to our friends at Moody Nolan. The one-hour program provided an overview of the structural system, with participants gaining an understanding of the:
- Advantages and disadvantages of the system
- System applications
- System materials
- Considerations during construction
“While our portfolio includes many buildings with a post-tensioned concrete structure, Rob’s presentation provided us with a good overview of the pros and cons of the system. Having this refresher certainly helps us better understand when it’s applicable and how it may bring value to the client,” said Jonathan Moody, AIA, Partner, Moody Nolan.
Current Jezerinac Geers post-tensioned concrete projects include: Hubbard Park Place, Goodale Landing, The Doric on Lane, THE GRIFF, the Apartments at Grandview Yard, Phase III, and 711 N. High St.
If you’re interested in the post-tensioned concrete refresher, we’d love to bring the lunch and learn to your office! Please contact, Paula Ryan, and she’ll be happy to schedule it for you.
