Michael A. Barr, PE

Design Engineer

"Engineering has always been a good fit for me because I like problem solving and learning how things fit together. It doesn't hurt either that I like math and physics. Combine those things with an interest in buildings and infrastructure and you have the perfect formula to be a great engineer."

Mike aspires to be a great engineer every day. He enjoys the variety of challenges that are presented in different projects because he is able to practice critical and creative thinking.  Stretching a bit outside the box is common for Mike because he is always trying to find the best solution for any given problem.

Mike is active in the American Wood Council and is participating in the Builders Exchange Rising Leaders Program. He finds value in these organizations because they allow him to keep abreast of advancements in the industry. Meeting new people whom he might not know otherwise is also a benefit for Mike.
