John McWilliams, PE

Project Engineer

"Coordinating with architects and contractors is one of my favorite parts of being a structural engineer. The opportunity to offer solutions to design challenges brings a great deal of satisfaction!"

John routinely pushes the status quo to bring creative design solutions to the projects he is working on. In fact, he enjoys the challenge of presenting multiple solutions that will help bring the architectural vision to life. John is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Ohio where he participates in mentoring night to give engineering students insight into the profession.

If you weren't an engineer, what would you be?
A white water rafting guide in the summer and ski instructor in the winter (in this alternate reality, I also married a woman with an extremely generous trust fund).

What is your favorite thing about working at Jezerinac Geers?
The depth of experience gives lots of opportunities to bounce details and design methods off of other engineers.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Super speed to get through my chores on the weekend so that I've got more time to play.

What is your favorite meal or restaurant?
A breakfast burrito with chorizo smothered in green chile sauce. A reward goes to anyone who can point me to a restaurant, or food truck in Central Ohio that does this well.
