The Exchange Street Dormitory is one of the latest additions to the University of Akron Campus. The 195,000 SF building includes first floor retail shops, while the upper floors include 84 apartments and 130 shared rooms, which house 475 students. Built through partnership with private developers at a cost of $25 million in 2006, the project creates a prominent major entry point to the campus.
