Dole Fresh Vegetables in Springfield is a 287,000 square foot fresh vegetable processing facility. From groundbreaking to startup in March 1998, the plant was executed as a fast-track design/build project in just 11 months by a team combining engineers from Dole, Jezerinac Geers, and The Dennis Group. In 2001, the plant was named ‘Plant of the Year’ by Refrigerated & Frozen Foods Magazine. Jezerinac Geers designed similar plants for Dole in Yuma, AZ and Bessemer City, NC.
