Dedication Held for New City of Columbus Fire Station

June 24, 2015

Fire Station 3

Jezerinac Geers is proud to be the structural engineer, with architectural partner M+A Architects, for the newest and largest fire station for the City of Columbus Division of Fire, which held its dedication on June 23. The project replaces Station No. 2&3 (“Busiest Station in the Nation”) that was built in 1962 and lacks the space, overhead door height clearance, ventilation, accessibility and technology that today’s fire stations and apparatus demand. The new facility is being designed sustainably with a goal of LEED® Silver Certification.
